What Time of Day Should You Schedule Your Boudoir Session?

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD YOU SCHEDULE YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION?

If you've checked out the booking page of my website, you've probably noticed that I offer boudoir experiences at 8:00 AM or 12:00 PM.

One of the nice things about boudoir photography is that I don't have to worry much about the weather or time of day when I schedule my sessions. That being said, the time of day still affects the way your photos look.

So which should you choose?

It depends...I've compiled some information and examples below so you can make an educated decision about what time of day you want to do your boudoir session!

MORNING

If you choose the morning, the lighting will be a little brighter and a little more direct. You'll be able to see window panes in your photos. If this is your vibe, morning is probably the best for you!

However, if the weather is overcast or rainy, your session will probably end up looking more like an afternoon session so keep that in mind!

AFTERNOON

The afternoon light is softer and the shadows get deeper in my studio in the afternoon. The light is gentle and more even, but it doesn't have the character of the window panes in the morning light.

SUMMARY

Whatever time of day you choose, your photos will be absolutely beautiful. That being said, it's worth knowing that the light will be a little different in my studio space at different times of day. That way you can make the best decision for you and your personal style and taste.
