THE BEST WAY TO DISPLAY YOUR BOUDOIR PHOTOS
Wondering how to display your boudoir photos? Should you get your images printed? Make an album? Or maybe just store them digitally? Let's walk through your options together so you can make the choice that is right for you!
JUST THE DIGITALS
This option is the simplest. You can choose to keep your digital images on a flash drive or a computer.
You can easily grab a photo to send to your partner to spice things up whenever you want to.
The downside to this option is that you don't get to see your photos in print. Additionally, if technology fails, you could loose all your photographs if you haven't backed them up properly.
If you're doing a boudoir session as a gift, a wrapped up flash drive doesn't have quite the same impact as printed photos.
5x7s AND OTHER STANDARD PRINTS
You could order standard prints to be framed or placed together in a decorative box. In my opinion, this is a step up from just keeping them as digital images.
Standard prints also give you something tangible and visible to wrap if you're doing a boudoir session as a gift.
WALL ART
I'll admit, wall art is not for everyone. In general, I wouldn't want my family to unwittingly see my boudoir images just hanging on the walls of my home.
There are some ways around this though if you'd like to have a larger piece of wall art for you.
You could order wall art of images like silhouettes or detail shots where it isn't obvious it's you in the photo.
Another option is to keep the print in your master bedroom or bathroom - somewhere a bit less travelled within your home.
One of my favorite ideas for a large print is to store it behind your husbands clothes in his closet. This would be a fun surprise if you get it hung without him knowing!
ALBUMS
This is my personal favorite option and the one I chose when I did my first boudoir session before my wedding.
A boudoir album is a beautiful way to display your photos. They're discrete while being both cohesive and impactful.
I offer simple black vegan leather albums that will look classy and elegant without standing out on your bookshelf. They look equally beautiful on your man's nightstand.
An album allows for your images to come together into cohesive spreads rather than simply standing alone.
If you're doing your session as a gift for your husband, watching him flip through your boudoir album as it quickly becomes his new favorite book is such a fun way to enjoy his reaction to your images!
If you're gifting him your photos on your wedding day, an album is a great way for your wedding photographer to capture his reaction without showing all your images in your wedding photos.
You could even do multiple albums if you'd like, one for his nightstand and then a smaller one for his desk.
