HOW MANY OUTFITS SHOULD YOU BRING TO YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION?

I recommend bringing 4-6 outfits to your boudoir session.

When you arrive at my studio, we'll pull out everything you brought and make a plan for your session. We'll talk about the pieces you have and how you feel about them and whether they'll photograph well or not. We'll also discuss what you love about your body and what you want to show off vs the things you may be feeling a little insecure about.

I always aim to start with the outfit with the most coverage to ease you into your session. Often this will be a sweater, crop top, robe, or bodysuit.

Realistically during the session, we normally have time for up to 5 looks. Keep in mind, one of your looks could be a sheet or nothing at all!

WHAT EXACTLY SHOULD YOU BRING?

So...4-6 outfits...what should they be though? I've got you covered.

1-2 BODYSUITS/TEDDIES

These look great on every single body type. Look for ones that flatter your natural waist and provide the level of support you want in the chest.

I also love bodysuits that have interesting or pretty backs with a cheeky or thong cut.

1-2 BRA/BRALETTE AND PANTY SETS

This is such a great and classic boudoir outfit choice.

The rules are very similar to the rules for bodysuits. Look for the level of support you want in your bra. If you have a small chest, I love a good lacy bralette. If you have a medium or large chest, a good structured push up bra can make your chest look amazing for your photos.

When it comes to bottoms, I recommend a cheeky or thong cut. If you're feeling nervous about showing your stomach, it can also be good to consider a high waisted panty. This can help you feel more confident while also flattering your figure.

1 SWEATER OR SHIRT AND UNDIES

I've seen so many fun options: sweater, long sleeve shirt, baseball jersey, crop top. They all look great!

Consider your personality.

Do you like the flirty feel of a graphic crop top and a matching thong? Or is an elegant white men's button down more your style? Or are you a cozy gal who wants a cute sweater and fuzzy socks?

SOMETHING SPECIAL YOUR MAN LOVES

Boudoir photos are beautiful and intimate, but a great way to really personalize your session and make your man feel loved is to wear something that carries some meaning in your relationship.

Maybe it's a certain lingerie set (or color) he loves to see you in, maybe it's his favorite shirt or jacket or his work uniform. Maybe it's a book you all enjoyed together.

Don't be afraid to get creative to personalize your session with something he'll love!

ACCESSORIES & FUN ITEMS

This can be anything from your favorite denim blue jeans to a jacket to a robe to a lingerie dress to a romper to a sheer lingerie shirt to a corset to a hat to a book to a veil. Get creative and bring something fun that you love!

A SHEET/NOTHING AT ALL

If you want to do a set in the white sheets, just let me know! You don't have to bring anything with you. I'll have a clean white sheet on hand for you to pose with.

If you're feeling really bold, you can pose naked as well - don't worry, we'll keep it classy and cover your most intimate parts with strategic posing.
